Life at the Creek

This is what we like to call a “lifestyle” photo session. They’re my very favorite kind of thing to shoot, because they show what goes on in your real, everyday life. In this case, we documented a family trip to the coast - Arapahoe, NC to be exact. This family was one of the first we shot, even before we were known as “JAM.” So, when they asked us to join them for a weekend at their creekhouse, we might’ve jumped up and down and yelled, “Heck yeah!” And so we did, bringing our cameras almost everywhere we went.

I’m going to skip the narrating (for the most part), because I love the story these photos tell all by themselves. Cinnamon rolls & oranges, puddle-jumping, doggy-loving, swinging, and boating. Life on the creek is good.

We’d like to take a moment and send some love to this family. Their good ol’ dogs, Bear & Griz, joined us at the Creek, and this ended up being Bear’s last trip. The shot Jordan got of him lying on the deck is one of my very favorites. Rest in peace, dear Bear.
